Misty Compton was born in Ontario, Canada in 1993 and currently lives in suburban Colorado with her husband, firefighter paramedic Kendall Compton, and their two miniature dachshunds, Aubree and Gris Compton. She earned her BA in Criminal Justice from Colorado Mesa University in 2015, and her Associate of Applied Science and POST certificate from Aims Community College in 2018. She established herself in the criminal justice field working for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation in the State of Colorado before turning to writing full time as a content writer and editor and publishing her first book, Escapegoat Daughter, in 2022.
